Abe started out with a Tech-4. It gave him 4 choices and
he pushed the button he wanted. I didn't feel he could really tell me
what he needed, so we got a Dynomite by Dynovox. It is much harder for
him to operate, but we are still working with it.
He also has an Intella-keys keyboard. It piggy backs on a
regular keyboard and with software (not included) you can make overlays
of any type. The range is from 1 key up to 100 and is activated with a
very gentle touch, which works great for Abe. I also made him little
elbow pads because he developed bruises from resting his elbows on his
tray while he was working.
