Steve Ostrolencki, Board Member

Steve lives in Lorain, Ohio with his wife Caille and their two children: Bobby and Archie (AJ).

brings more than 20 years of experience across the nonprofit and business sectors at both regional and national levels. His career in healthcare philanthropy includes work with two leading research and teaching institutions in Northeast Ohio, where he supported innovations advancing medical education from research to the patient’s bedside. Steve has built strong coalitions among grateful patients, physicians, corporate partners, and pharmaceutical sponsors to drive meaningful impact.

Professionally, Steve has elevated both the need for and outcomes of medical education, including publishing results tied to funded initiatives. His experience spans research support, shaping policy and procedures for accredited medical education, guiding physicians in philanthropic fundraising, and contributing to two major capital campaigns. Known for his ability to deepen relationships, he excels at advocacy through storytelling while ensuring compliance, fiduciary responsibility, and sound stewardship within a public hospital system.

Personally, Steve is a dedicated advocate for children with disabilities. Through supporting his son, Archie, he collaborates with social service agencies to access resources, therapies, and counseling. This lived experience revealed gaps in public systems and fuels his life’s mission to advance awareness, funding, and research—particularly for PMD. Steve brings to the Board both professional expertise and an authentic, deeply personal commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.
